60 Minute Ritual
Our Signature Scalp Ritual is for those who need TLC for their Scalp only.
60 minutes of intense scalp care, starting off with our scalp analysis allowing us to identify any scalp issues such as seborrhoeic dermatitis, dandruff, scalp acne and psoriasis which we then tailor your Scalp Ritual uniquely to you.
Followed by an intensive scalp treatment focusing on freeing the hair follicles of debris, excess oil, dandruff and product buildup, we then soothe the scalp with a relaxing hair wash, hair mask and dreamy scalp massage.
Your hair and scalp will feel revitalised like never before. Finished with a complimentary dry-off.
Deluxe Scalp Ritual
90 Minute Ritual
A mesmerising and delectable 90 minutes experience of pure relaxation, coupled with specialised results focused treatments that focus on relieving common scalp conditions such as Seborrhoeic dermatitis, dandruff, scalp acne and psoriasis.
Enjoy a mini facial that focuses on deep cleansing, exfoliation and hydration. Our Deluxe Scalp Ritual also includes a long head, neck, and shoulder massage - the best part!
You may fall asleep as we gently buff away dry scaly flakes from the scalp or excess sebum that may be blocking the hair follicles. Followed by a thorough and relaxing hair wash and complimentary treatment.
Perfect for anyone suffering scalp conditions, or anyone just wanting an excuse to relax and unwind in our cosy spa bed, with a long and delectable scalp treatment + mini facial + head neck and shoulder massage

Kenshō Scalp Rituals FAQ
The Japanese Head Spa, a novel concept in Australia, offers a transformative experience using exclusively natural and organic ingredients. While its generally safe for the majority of our clients, there could be some exceptions. To ensure you have an optimal experience, we encourage you to go through this page which contains all the essential information for your first visit. The primary focus of a head spa is to provide a rejuvenating treatment for the scalp, which may include a scalp massage, deep conditioning, aromatherapy, and hot towel/steam treatments.
How long will I be in the clinic for?
For every Kenshō Scalp Ritual appointment, we require an additional 15-30mins for the consultation and the follow up. So if you are booked for a 60min Signature session for example, please plan to be in our salon for a total of 90 minutes.
Can 2 People have the treatment done together?
Unfortunately, we can only accommodate one guest at a time in our private room for our Scalp Rituals; as such, multiple appointments would have to be either back-to-back or at different times/dates. We hope to be able to accommodate this request in the future.
Will the Scalp Ritual impact my hair colour or keratin treatment?
All of our ingredients are safe for any kind of treated hair! However, if you had recently done any kind of chemical services within a week before your Head Spa appointment, there is a chance that the color/keratin may lift during our detoxing process. Therefore, we recommend customers to wait at least a week after any kind of hair treatment before receiving a Head Spa.
We also recommend waiting at least a week after having a Head spa before doing any kind of chemical services. You wouldn’t want to apply chemicals to a freshly cleaned scalp!
Can you perform a Head Spa on all hair types?
We can perform our Scalp Ritual on all hair types, from thin and fragile to thick and coarse, wavy, curly, porous, and even bald! However, the focus of the Head Spa is primarily on the scalp, not the hair. As long as you have a scalp, we can provide a Head Spa. We only request that you ensure we have proper access to the scalp.
We are unable to service clients with extensions, braids, or sew-ins as these hinder access to the scalp and pores.
Is the Scalp Ritual safe for expecting mothers?
Our Head Spa uses completely organic and natural ingredients; therefore, it is completely safe for pregnant customers. However, some guests may be concerned about being exposed to certain herbs and oils such as lavender while they are expecting. Therefore, it would be best to consult your doctor to see if there is anything you should avoid.
Another concern would be that we require guests to lay completely flat on your back during the whole duration of the service. If this is something you are unable to do, then it may be best to wait until after the delivery before trying the head spa.
Can you record yourself during the treatment?
Whilst it may seem enticing to record yourself having the treatment, we do encourage you to relax and make the most of this incredible treatment for the best results for your mind, body and soul. Our therapists may be able to assist with recording some of the treatment if you wish to post to social media and tag us!
Contraindications in which we can not perform the service:
*We cannot perform services on customers with extensions, braids, or sew-ins, as these obstruct access to the scalp and pores
*Guests with diseases or viruses relating to the skin and scalp. Guests with such should consult a medical professional.
*Any diseases/viruses, especially those related to the skin*
*Immediately after surgery whether medical, reconstructive, or cosmetic.
*Immediately expecting mothers.
*Immediately after sunburn to scalp.
